# Buzz

> Memory Crystal installs into the CLIs Buzz runs. Buzz is Hosted. Channel memory is not available.

Buzz hosts agents through `buzz-acp`. It is not a Memory Crystal install target.

Install Memory Crystal into the CLI that session is actually running: Claude Code, Codex, Grok Build, or another official CLI. Memory Crystal then follows that CLI's Support Tier.

There is no `--targets buzz`.

## What works today

Lookups against memory you already stored still work. After the hosted CLI is installed, the agent can use the Explicit Tool Surface (`crystal_recall`, `crystal_remember`, and the rest).

Automatic capture and recall belong to the hosted CLI. Grok Build is Capture tier: recall is a deliberate tool call because that harness cannot inject hook output into context.

## What is not available

Channel memory is not available.

Buzz cannot yet issue a read-only, single-channel, expiring key. Memory Crystal does not capture Buzz channels and does not isolate one channel from another. Do not treat a Buzz room as a private memory boundary. That boundary is not enforced.

## Install

```bash theme={"system"}
curl -fsSL https://memorycrystal.ai/crystal | bash
```

Accept the CLI Buzz launched, or pass that CLI's `--targets` id. See [Installation](/installation) and [Support Tiers](/concepts/support-tiers).
