Buzz hosts agents through buzz-acp. It is not a Memory Crystal install target. Install Memory Crystal into the CLI that session is actually running: Claude Code, Codex, Grok Build, or another official CLI. Memory Crystal then follows that CLI’s Support Tier. There is no --targets buzz.

What works today

Lookups against memory you already stored still work. After the hosted CLI is installed, the agent can use the Explicit Tool Surface (crystal_recall, crystal_remember, and the rest). Automatic capture and recall belong to the hosted CLI. Grok Build is Capture tier: recall is a deliberate tool call because that harness cannot inject hook output into context.

What is not available

Channel memory is not available. Buzz cannot yet issue a read-only, single-channel, expiring key. Memory Crystal does not capture Buzz channels and does not isolate one channel from another. Do not treat a Buzz room as a private memory boundary. That boundary is not enforced.

Install

Accept the CLI Buzz launched, or pass that CLI’s --targets id. See Installation and Support Tiers.
